“Collins Lake Resort offers by far, the most luxurious and spacious accommodations on Mt. Hood.” – Frommer’s Review in the NY Times

The Chalets

The Chalets are the perfect blend of rustic Cascadian charm, together with excellent resort amenities. Each Chalet has two to three bedrooms, two and a half baths, a well equipped gas kitchen and an open great room with a stone fireplace. Many units also have gas barbecues on the private outdoor deck. Whether you choose a mountain view, creek view, or forest view Chalet, tall windows allow you to take advantage of the beautiful vistas.

Each Chalet is individually furnished, each with its own custom charm, and sleeps from four to ten people comfortably. Every Chalet offers ample storage, laundry facilities and an attached two-car garage. And because you are within walking distance of Government Camp and Mt. Hood Skibowl, you have the freedom to park your car and forget about driving for your entire stay."

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay at Collins Lake Resort and we are ready to go back. After a day of fabulous snowboarding at Timberline and Ski Bowl we would return to our Chalet where we would BBQ on the deck with the snow falling. It was beautiful. We would spend the rest of the evening relaxing in the leisure pool surrounded by snow covered fir trees. It is a great place to relax and enjoy life. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, Collins Lake Resort is a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely return. Stayed March 2011

I produced an advertising shoot in the area a month ago and had the pleasure of putting my crew up at the Collins Lake Resort. I work with some very discriminating people to say the least and never have I seen so many smiling faces each morning. Sue was my point person and was able to fulfill every crazy request I could have possibly asked of her, I cant say enough about how helpful she was. This was the second time I had the pleasure of putting a crew up at Collins Lake Resort and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have traveled all over the world in my line of work and it’s rare to find the sense of place and home you get at Collins Lake Resort. You truly feel at home and you know you are in a community committed to helping you ease right in. I really can’t say enough about my experiences at Collins Lake Resort. I cant wait to go back. Thanks Sue and all of you there for making my job just a bit easier! Patrick.

We loved our stay in Government Camp and Collins Lake Resort. We had a beautiful condo that had the creek in the back. It was wonderful to sleep with the windows open and hear the creek. The front desk was very efficient. The town of government camp was very quaint and the general store, within a 5 minute walk. Mandy at with the Adventure guides was superb with lots of information on activities and trails to hike. Loved it would definitely go back! lovethemountains42 (TripAdvisor) | Stayed August 2011

“Relaxing with loads of Family Fun nearby” The family including 2 teenagers stayed 4 nights in mid July. The Chalet was very comfortable, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essential utensils. We loved the furnishings and decor which can best be described as a “northwest moose and salmon” motif. On site, there was no shortage of activities for the kids as the pool and hot tub was next door. We expecially liked the “leisure pool” a short walk away in the woods which was really a 30 person jacuzzi. Very cool!Outside of the resort, there were many summer activities available. The kids enjoyed a trip to Kahneeta and the mineral pools (a 45 minute drive away), a chair lift “skyride” up the Magic Mile at Timberline (5 minutes away), and a day trip to the Adventure Park at SkiBowl across the highway at Government Camp. A bonus – Discount tickets to the Adventure Park were available at the Collins Lake resort office for guests. All things considered, the chalet was perfect mix of amenties and value for our family vacation. We plan on returning. SandSWeber (TripAdvisor) | Stayed July 2011

We are a family of 4 (two young daughters) who spent 2 nights at Collins Lake on a family ski trip. The condo we rented was very clean, the beds were great, the kitchen was well equipped. (One minor suggestion is to add provide bath mats or rugs, the tile floor in the bathrooms was very cold.) We loved the location, walking distance to store and restaurants. Also walking distance to Ski Bowl ski area. It was a little bit cold for skiing the first day we were there, so we stayed in Gov’t Camp and went sledding instead. Lots to do, and the condo was fantastic with kids. Everyone had their own room. CRB42 (TripAdvisor) | Stayed February 2011
